Stratifon Installation
Before starting the installation, it's important to remember that the nylon bag covering the entire panel should not be removed! For correct installation, follow these steps:
Step 1: Apply 50 mm double-sided adhesive tape all around the perimeter of the wall.
Step 2: Install the "L" shaped profile on the double-sided adhesive, being careful to leave enough space from the wall for the insertion of the acoustic panels.
Step 3: Install the first vertical series of STRATIFON/FONOBAG panels along the entire height, starting from the left or right, ensuring complete adherence to the wall.
Step 4: After the first series of panels, vertically install the special "T" shaped profile with its 60 mm back facing the future plasterboard sheets. This profile, if installed correctly, will have no point of contact with the underlying wall.
Step 5: Subsequently, continue with the vertical installation of a second series of panels and "T" profile, then a third series of panels and "T" profile, until the entire wall is completed. If necessary, the panels can be cut with a utility knife. We recommend initially installing the last series of panels without the special "T" profile (see next step).
Step 6: After installing the last series of panels, you can insert the final special "T" profile by making two corresponding cuts on the "L" shaped profile previously installed on the floor (Step 2) to allow for its positioning.
Step 7: Install the first layer of plasterboard sheets, ensuring they are kept at least 2mm away from the floor, ceiling, and walls. Then, seal everything with acrylic sealant.
Step 8: Install the second layer of plasterboard sheets, which could be: a standard plasterboard sheet, a sheet coupled with a membrane, or a high-density plasterboard sheet. The installation of these sheets should be staggered at the joints relative to the underlying ones, following the same application and sealing methods.
Step 9: Fill screw heads and joints. Afterwards, it is recommended to skim coat the entire wall.
Step 10: Painting phase: apply one coat of primer.
Step 11: Apply 2 coats of anti-mold paint enhanced with Picoceramix.
N.B.: For Stratifon 29, the side with letter A must always face the installer!
